Under the leadership of Donald Boatman, Marty Johnson was appointed as the first Junior Bible Quizzing Director, with approximately 30 teams in attendance at the first North American Bible Quizzing Tournament. The first junior National Champion was the team from First UPC in Nashville, Tennessee.
